A must-read for anyone moving to Bangalore, India

Bangalore is a busy metropolis in the south of India and as the business world re-organizes itself, more and more expats and NRIs are finding their way to this city of gardens. Having lived in Bangalore more than ten years ago, I was curious to see how the place has changed and purchased a copy of this book to help. I was impressed by how thorough the book is in covering all aspects of life in Bangalore. And when I mentioned it to an NRI friend who was planning to visit the city, she immediately got her own copy. The praise she expressed upon her return from Bangalore was more for the book than for the city!!!
Narrated simply in a question-answer format that is both reader-friendly and easy to skim, the book takes it upon itself to give you information about not only the culture and history of Bangalore, but also covers weather, infrastructure and investment. Any question that may arise in your mind is answered here. Be it a something big like, banking and investing in Bangalore, or something mundane-sounding, like where to go for groceries - the answers are all there.
There is a very interesting section near the end of the book that provides interviews with expats and Non Resident Indians. I liked this the best of all because the practical tips and personal experiences helped cover any aspect that the book hadn't directly addressed.
This book is a good guide to life in Bangalore and how to find the resources one needs for survival in a new culture. It is not something you read once and put away or forget. This is a handy reference that you can keep coming back to - and it delivers the goods each time!

Good guide for living in Bangalore

Book is a good guide for learning about Bangalore if you are going to live there. I would definitely recommend the book if you're moving there but not if you're just visiting.

Doesn't really have anything you couldn't Google. Pretty ordinary topics and depth of information. I would not recommend this book.
