Outdated reprints and sparsely supported editorials

Risk Analysis and Human Behavior is a collection of 1) reprinted manuscripts dating as far back as 1981, 2) more recent research unlikely to be published in a peer-reviewed journal, and 3) editorials filled with opinionated statements. Dr. Fischhoff's editorials are insightful, but support and references are sparse, with one or two references provided to support one or two dozen opinions.
In summary, this book reads as a collection of materials not up to snuff for current peer-review publication. it reads as a collection of second rate leftover publications from a first rate scientist. If you are interested or work in the field of risk perception or communication, I would recommend acquiring a copy from local library for a quick read through.
