No Seven Dwarves here.. smiles

A nice little read, involves a scavenger, a frozen heir apparent and a ex hooker. (smiles) All of them seemed to make it work. Ronan is a quiet thinker, always tries to looks a couple of steps ahead. Noah has so much energy, he will head into things without thinking it through too much. Alivia has slept her life away literally, when she finally wakes 30 years has passed.
Ronan knows they are headed from trouble, when the push forward to investigate a sound that Noah has heard. Of course against his better judgment they head toward the, abandoned ship and the sound. Upon entering the ship they discover a very expensive looking cryo unit, with what appears a young beautiful female still encased.
There a twist or two to this delightful little story. Royal intrigue, take overs, greed top that off with emotions that run rampant. Each of the star characters had a past, all of them together can head each other. In the middle of making the “bed springs” bounce, and the captains chair swivel (smiles) with some pretty hot scenes. The three of them will have to stay ahead of the “Hunter” that’s on their tail, to take out Aliva and make her just a memory. They will run into another bit of danger which ensues a rescue attempt.
This is the first book Ice read from this author, a job well done. Enjoy

Hot fun futuristic tale!

This book is a fun, hot futuristic adventure. I loved this very fresh m/m/f version of a classic fairytale. Two hot men, already committed to each other, wake this sleeping princess and everything changes. They fall head-over-heals in love with the brave albeit innocent woman. When family drama arises they find themselves faced with the choices. I don't want to leave a spoiler so I'll be cautious with the way I finish. Will Alivia choose love or duty? I was happy with the surprise at he end. Another great read from Ms. Carter, I give this five stars.

About the Author

Scott Empson is the associate chair of the Bachelor of Applied Information Systems Technology degree program at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, where he teaches Cisco routing, switching, and network design courses in a variety of different programs—certificate, diploma, and applied degree—at the postsecondary level. Scott is also the program coordinator of the Cisco Networking Academy Program at NAIT, a Regional Academy covering central and northern Alberta. He has earned three undergraduate degrees: a Bachelor of Arts, with a major in English; a Bachelor of Education, again with a major in English/Language Arts; and a Bachelor of Applied Information Systems Technology, with a major in Network Management. Scott is currently completing his Master of Education from the University of Portland. He holds several industry certifications, including CCNP, CCAI, Network+, and CEH. Prior to instructing at NAIT, he was a junior/senior high school English/Language Arts/Computer Science teacher at different schools throughout Northern Alberta. Scott lives in Edmonton, Alberta, with his wife, Trina, and two children, Zachariah and Shaelyn.

 

Hans Roth is an instructor in the electrical engineering technology department at Red River College in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Hans has been with the college for 13 years and teaches in both the engineering technology and IT areas. He has been with the Cisco Networking Academy since 2000, teaching CCNP curricula. Previous to teaching, Hans spent 15 years in R&D/product development designing microcontroller-based control systems for consumer products as well as for the automotive and agricultural industries.

Good for command line lookup.

As the title states, if you have questions about certain commands you can easily look them up in this little guide.

Only complaint is that (and again with ciscopress) they don't offer you a digital copy. There are other companies that give you a CD loaded with FREE extra content and a PDF copy of the book.

This book has been a great easy reference for learning Cisco switch commands during a new datacenter project. It's well organized by function. As an improvement, I would suggest expanding on real-world syntax examples.

Good content, terrible Kindle format

The Kindle version of this book has every single table of commands formatted as an image, and not text. That means it cannot be scaled, and reading the book on a PC results in very difficult to read tables. The tables are the real content of the book - ALL of the commands reside in these tables, and not a single bit of it is formatted as text. Other books in this series, like CCNA Portable Command Guide, have at least the vast majority of tables formatted as scalable text. This book is almost entirely image-based. Hopefully this will be changed in an updated version.

Raising boys to become healthy men

Just finished reading this book. Wow. . A very broad dissertation on the whole topic of what's involved in raising boys to become healthy men. Well written, well thought out, and an excellent overview for any parent raising children. Perhaps the manual that we never received before deciding to have children? I highly recommend this book for parents, would be parents, as well as educators. This book really brought home for me the compelling reasons why all boys should be acknowledged with a rite of passage just before or when they reach puberty.

What every parent should know about their boys

Dr Rubinstein explains in simple language just what our boys are going through and what they need from us. It's tough being a parent, and in particular a Mother raising a Son. It seems so foreign to us what they are going through. You often hear it said that being a parent doesn't come with an instruction manual. Well, now it does! This books was invaluable in helping me maintain a loving and open relationship with my teenage son.

About the Author
John M. Butler is a NIST Fellow and Special Assistant to the Director for Forensic Science, Office of Special Programs, at the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology, in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Dr. Butler earned his PhD from the University of Virginia while doing DNA research in the FBI Laboratory's Forensic Science Research Unit. He has won numerous scientific awards, including being named Science Watch’s #1 world-wide high-impact author in legal medicine and forensic science over the last decade (July 2011). He has over 150 publications in this field and is a frequent presenter on the topic of DNA typing, and has authored four other DNA Typing books including Advanced Topics in Forensic DNA Typing: Methodology.
